So how does AAM work?

Launching the Animal Adventures in Music program is the easiest thing you’ll ever do as a teacher or studio owner! Seriously. Other early childhood music programs often require certification, intensive training, and complicated group setups. With AAM, training isn’t even necessary because the Teacher Guide tells you exactly what to do in each class. As long as you have your Teacher Guide and your student has their workbook, you can successfully offer this program in your studio!

Classes are split into 3 segments to build consistency and routine

Table Time: The student and teacher work together to learn and practice new concepts using their Animal Adventures workbook as well as other resources such as a music staff whiteboard and flashcards.

Rug Time: The student and teacher meet on the adorable Animal Adventures music staff rug (available for purchase to members) to practice note reading, rhythm, and musical expression, in a fun setting! The rug measures 7’ by 4’ 8”. The high-energy segment of Rug Time solidifies and simplifies complex concepts for young students, all while utilizing fun backyard-style and silly role-reversal games.

Stage Time: The final segment of class is spent in hands-on exploration, listening, and learning about one of the ten instruments that are covered.

A level-based program structured loosely around the martial arts black belt program. Students progress through 10 levels, 10 colors, 10 different animal characters, and 10 worlds. This provides a constant source of motivation and excitement for students - and parents, too! Parents will no longer have to ask or wonder how their child is progressing or what they’re learning. Make the AAM learning experience even more fun and successful by providing a reward for your students after passing each level!

Have you seen our medals? The medal for each level matches the color, world, and animal for that level… and it spins! Check them out here.

10 books filled with activities, stickers, flashcards and more make it easy and enjoyable for any music teacher to administer this program. Have you ever seen a 4-year-old assemble 3 measures in 3/4 time using accurate notes and rests? By the time our students get past the half way mark in Animal Adventures in Music, they’re doing this on a weekly basis. Without even realizing it, our students become experts in music theory. Upon graduation, students will be able to read and perform rhythms and rests from whole notes to sixteenth notes and read three octaves of notes on the grand staff. And that’s just the music theory side of things!

Together, your student and you (or another teacher in your studio) as the Animal Adventures guide will travel through the worlds of 10 different animal guides and instruments. Students will listen to music from each instrument, become familiar with popular styles, and learn about all the different parts of the instrument. Have you ever had a parent ask if their 3 or 4-year-old can start lessons, but you know they’re just a little too young? Now they can get started right away, explore different instruments, and know just what they want to play when they graduate from this program and are old enough to start formal lessons!

The Animal Adventures material is impossible not to love. Each level is jam-packed with rich story-telling, modern design, irresistibly cute characters, and silly shenanigans. We use the beautiful and mysterious worlds of animals to spark a passion for music and give kids a head start that they can’t get anywhere else. Not to mention, over 1,800 stickers are woven into the Animal Adventures “homework” (can we really call it that?) that our students complete each week. Think less homework, more arts and crafts.

So how will this program increase your revenue? After all, you are a business owner and money matters! It’s very simple. By offering AAM in your studio, you can now extend lessons to an audience of students who are otherwise too young for formal instrumental private lessons. Parents are seeking out music education more and more for their young children, and we think they’re smart to do that! After all, they see their kids learning new concepts all the time. Why can’t they get started in music now? Simply put, there is a major demand for music lessons for young kids, and now you can meet that demand.

We know you have a budget and we want your program to be successful. Because your students are buying their own workbooks (or you’re increasing your class tuition because you are providing them), the remaining costs to you are nominal.

The best way to think about this program in your studio is to imagine offering another instrument. How many piano students do you have? How many guitar students? What amount of revenue do these students bring in? What if you could offer another popular new instrument at your studio without having to worry about hiring special teachers or learning anything new? That’s exactly what AAM is! It’s easy to launch and operate because the structure is the same as what you already have. Keep all the same policies, formats, scheduling procedures, pricing, etc. that you have now. AAM is simply another type of lesson you can offer - completely unique because it offers private lessons to an age that other studios cannot accommodate.

Fill Your Teachers’ Schedules!

Are you looking for ways to fill your studio in the less popular morning and early afternoon hours? AAM is the perfect solution to make use of your space and bring in revenue during times when most other students are at work or school. Because many AAM students tend to be available in the mornings and early afternoons, you can finally have a full schedule!

Do you have teachers in your studio who could use some more students? If they enjoy working with young children, they are perfect for AAM no matter what instrument they teach! Most studios simply schedule AAM classes in their teachers’ current openings. No need to hire anyone special or open any new days! And classrooms can easily double as private instrument lesson room and AAM classrooms.

Here is an example of a common schedule on a weekday with AAM:

This program was designed to make life easy for teachers and studio owners while providing an unbelievably unique and beneficial learning experience for students. If you’ve been looking for a way to say YES to parents looking for enriching music programs for their young children, look no further. Many early childhood music programs require teachers to undergo intensive training and certification and require you to implement confusing group class formats and sessions. But with AAM, it’s as easy as buying the books! If you already offer lessons in an instrument like piano, guitar, voice, violin, or something else, add AAM for your little ones and watch your revenue climb as your overall student count increases and you continue to retain these little music enthusiasts for life!

Once a week, 30 minutes, small class sizes, and excellent instructors. I was apprehensive about what my son was actually absorbing at first, but then I helped him with his homework and he knew it all! From just a 30 minute lesson where he spent the majority of the time dancing around and being silly, he remembered what he was taught and actually taught me! The program and the rewards for “homework” and learning really drove my son to want to learn more!

We just purchased the Animal Adventures program for our school and the results are overwhelmingly in favor of keeping this amazing program. The Teacher training books are easy to follow and be prepared for each lesson. The books are high quality with plenty of coloring, stickers, and musical games for all to enjoy in the lesson and at home. Hanging the top-notch medals in our lobby has started many conversations and got younger siblings involved right away. Many adults have asked how they can earn amazing medals! Just this week we move a student who was quitting over to Lesson 1 with Petey the Penguin and the student was laughing and coloring and now is hooked back into learning music and bringing a friend!

We started just before my child turned 5 and it’s a great program for this age. In the program, kids get the opportunity to explore numerous instruments; a new one every book with new activities every level. Basic research will point to the benefits of early starts in music. My child gets giddy with excitement every week when it’s music day and has so much fun. I can tell that a TON of care and thought was poured into designing this program. The homework assignments are expertly broken down into bite sized, simple guides, combining new concepts learned in that week’s class, continual review of former material and joining them together to grow into more complex theories. As a parent with a musical background, I am very pleased with the structure and progression of the program. For non-musical parents, don’t worry at all. Each homework chapter has a parent summary included clearly explaining what was learned that week and a brief summary on what each concept or theory means. You will easily be able to help your child and also learn yourself! At the end of each level (10 total), they receive a certificate and a medal...if you haven’t seen a proud kid, just wait!!

My daughter, age 3, has been going to the Animal Adventure classes and loves them!! I’m amazed at how fast she’s learning and I can see how much effort her instructor is putting into her class... She looks forward to going to class every week. I love the idea of appreciation through certificate and medal after passing each level, it’s something for the kids to look forward to. At such a young age, they’re like a sponge and absorb everything thrown at them. Animal Adventures does a great job in channeling all my daughter’s musical curiosity in the right direction.
